His key focus and responsibilities will be to work alongside development chefs and key accounts to increase the Eloma profile within the UK, whilst raising awareness of the product and its capabilities. His catering career began in 1972 when he joined the Royal Marines, and since then he has cooked in many different countries and environments worldwide. These include Borneo and the Falkland Islands, before finishing his military service as Warrant Officer 1 RM, Corp Caterer.
In 1996, he joined the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust as Associate Catering Manager. During 11 years service there, Ron strove to modernise and improve the quality of the catering services offered to patients, visitors and staff. He managed a brigade of chefs who actively participated in both regional and national culinary competitions. His team were proud to win many coveted awards for their skills and professionalism.
A member of the Institute of Hospitality and the Hospital Caterers Association, Ron is delighted to have now joined Falcon as a full-time team member. Having been associated with the company for the past 12 years as a Demonstration Chef, he now looks forward to the challenges ahead. Relishing the opportunity of working with colleagues to promote and develop the precision, craftsmanship and of course, the culinary qualities of Eloma Ovens. |
