Lean, Green Falcon Machines

Falcon Foodservice Equipment has demonstrated its market-leading ‘green’ credentials by being awarded the environmental standard ISO 14001 certification, following a final audit by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

Managing Director Tim Smith is delighted that once again, Falcon is leading the marketplace. Says Smith “Achieving this accreditation has been central to our group business strategy. As a manufacturer, it is essential for us to improve business performance whilst at the same time we must reduce the impact of our activities on the environment. Anyone who has visited our factory in Stirling will understand, preserving the environment is not just close to our hearts but, being based in the shadow of the Ochil hills, is part of our very being. Not only that, we respect that customers want us to do better as well – providing more energy efficient units for their businesses.”

Energy, sustainability and ecological awareness is promoted throughout The AFE Group with Williams being first to launch CFC free foam in commercial refrigeration. The Eloma low energy, low water usage combination ovens are also making a significant impact in the market place.

The ISO14001 award is the culmination of eighteen months hard work by everyone at Falcon and reinforces the group-wide environmental ethos.
