Engineering A Sustainable Environment
A senior Falcon Product Development Engineer was recently invited to present a lecture on “Sustainability” at a leading European Centre of Teaching Excellence.


Siv Almaas of Falcon Foodservice Equipment"Sustainability within a commercial environment - A Win-Win Experience" was the title of the talk given by Siv Almaas.

Aimed at postgraduate students and staff, the event took place at the David Livingstone Centre at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

The background to Falcon's ISO14001 accreditation was explained and examples of business gains were discussed.

This benchmark award was achieved through a combination of capital investment and integrated management systems. The company product development strategy that centres upon functionality combined with energy and resource efficiency was also outlined.

The certification was awarded after several months of hard work by everyone within the organisation and reinforces the emphasis that Falcon continues to place on energy, sustainability and ecological awareness.

Commitment to sustainable practices and energy management within the commercial kitchen is addressed within the Falcon Greenlogic initiative.
