Welcome to the Falcon intranet

As you know we launched a new website this year to provide a central platform for information for our customers, the final phase of which is the internal communication section of the website, which replaces the existing intranet.
The intranet won’t replace other forms of communication such as our factory briefs and breakfast communication meetings, instead adding to them and becoming a central point for information that every Falcon employee can access from anywhere.
It’s important for us to communicate openly so some of the information we publish on this platform may be commercially sensitive, so please don't share any information with anyone outside Falcon.

Toaster-web.jpgInternal Works - Possible Disruption

Starting in October there will be work being carried out across the factory. This might be a little disruptive at times so we would appreciate everyone’s patience until it is completed.

The work will include the painting of various areas around the building and the creation of new preparation areas in the canteen.  These new areas will offer more flexibility for snack and lunch options.  There will also be more informal seating for those just looking to sit and have a coffee!

We will also be installing new water coolers in communal areas.

The factory will also be getting new signs throughout highlighting each work area, along with additional information boards.

We will be putting in new ceiling tiles in the canteen, which may mean some areas will be closed while this is being done.

The goal is to have the main elements of the work completed by December.  We will let you know in advance if any work will be being carried out in your area.
Many thanks in advance for your support, and if you have any suggestions or ideas for improvement  that you would like to be considered, please get in touch with Barry Hill or Stevie Dillon.

Falcon distributor Cater-Kwik supporting Ukraine

Cater-Kwik MD Matthew Mayvers was involved in appealing for donations to help Ukrainians displaced by the Russian invasion and has led a convoy of trucks laoded with all kinds of supplies to the Poland / Ukraine border. Amongst these supplies was a G3101, donated by ourselves. (see video below.)

Huge congratulations to Matthew and all involved in this tremendous act of kindness.

customer feedback

We wanted to share with you some great feedback we received from Ellie Wrighton at Mitchells & Butler:

"I wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you for all your determination and continual hard work to achieve all our order requirements. I know it continues to be a very challenging time with supply chain issues and please know that I am very grateful for all the adapting you are doing in this ever changing landscape.

I have learnt today that there has been instances of stripping down complete equipment to get to parts just to fulfil our orders which is highly commendable. Doing the great work you’re doing has seen some our lead times drop by weeks from original order, it is great to be working with a team that are doing everything they can. I look forward to visiting Stirling soon and pass on my sheer gratitude in person but for now please do take a sincere Thank you from me in these words."

Product in Focus -                              Solid top induction

E3917i.jpgOur new solid top induction really is another Falcon first, combining the usability, versatility and power of a gas solid top with the energy efficiency, increased controllability, easy clean and safety of induction. For busy restaurants, who depend on their solid top but are keen to lower their carbon footprint, save energy and just be more efficient, it's the perfect solution.

Available in countertop or oven range variations in Dominator plus and countertop in F900, it's a true piece of innovation and we're really excited to be able to show it to the world.

Shaune's got a test model in his kitchen and we have visitors coming to the factory at the end of January especially to take a closer look at this new piece of equipment.

Exhibitions & Events

THe last few months have seen a number of exhibitions and customer events, covering a variety of sectors:

LACA Forum

This annual event aimed at school caterers is one we're very well known at, but it was great to be able to display new products at. On our stand was a meal delivery trolley and heated servery, two appliances that were received really well by all who visited our stand.

Big Hospitality Expo, LondonBig-Hosp-Expo-web.jpg

Previously known as the Restaurant Show, our theme for this was electric alternatives, showcasing such products as the electric chargrill, new solid top induction compact combi oven and electric fryer with Fryer Angel. All of these products have gas equivalents that have proven exceptionally popular for many years but are not particularly energy efficient. The electric versions offer so many benefits from a performance and efficiency perspective.

CEDA Conference

With a solid top induction boiling top and hydrogen range on our stand, we were able to showcase our innovative capabilities and commitment to providing products that can help lower a caterer's carbon footprint. This is always an interesting event as we are allocated time with every dealer in attendance, so are able to show off in some detail our very latest products and service.

NACC Training and Development ForumNACC-web.jpg

The National Association of Care Caterers big event of the year includes a supplier exhibition and a meet the buyer event, where suppliers are able to select which buyers and companies they want to talk to. This enables us to access companies and individuals it can sometimes prove difficult to get with and has proved a very useful way of getting to know people. On display at this event is the meal delivery trolley and scanheat microwave, both of which are ideal for care caterers.
