We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join our supply chain team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Account management of key strategic subcontractors including operational purchasing and performance improvement, contract governance and relationship management across all functions.
• Vendor management, including sourcing new vendors & quote for items to raise PPV. Resolve conflicts concerning materials or services, coordinate returns and/or repairs of products and action all non-conformance reports and N.P.D changes.
• Responsibility for procuring appropriate items or services from creating a purchase order to delivery.
• Continuous improvement of On-Time delivery and quality performance of key suppliers.
• Benchmarking of key commodities.
• Participate in compiling company metrics for KPIs.
• Assist in the implementation of operational procurement, process improvements, introduction of best practice procurement and supply chain management techniques.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have proven sourcing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Be tenacious and have attention to detail.
• Have robust negotiation and cost analysis skills.
• Be agile.
• Be IT Proficient (including MS suite especially Excel & Syspro or equivalent.
• Have a customer-focused attitude.
• Possess strong influencing skills.
• Be able to work under pressure and work well within a team.

A knowledge of supply markets within the commercial catering industry would be advantageous.
