Production controller

We are currently recruiting for a Production Controller, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the business, ensuring that parts are moved through the factory in a timely manner and ensuring effective management of the company's ERP system. The Production controller will have the full support of management and the shop floor to ensure customer orders are expedited in a timely manner. This role involves stock control, purchase orders, along with counting WIP and analysing inventory queries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and implementing the company's ERP system.
• Working with the stores and procurement departments to progress parts through the business.
• Following up on quotations.
• Liaising with customers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Ensuring effective management of the company's Material Resource Planning (MRP) system.
• Raising work orders.
• Managing Subcontract Work Orders & Suppliers·
• Controlling stock and materials.
• Pack and Kit issue – Yellow Bins to Line & Stock Control.
• Updating buffer qty’s on system and analysing usage.
• Clearing up wip orders.
• Supporting Supply Chain with expediting and updating PO’s
• Daily reporting for Kit Issue & Job Shortages

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of stock and material control
• Extensive Goods in/out experience
• IT skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Positive attitude with a "can do" approach to work.
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills
