Ciabatta

Enjoy as rolls or small loaves

Ingredients

500g Strong Flour (or Type 00 Flour)
10g Instant Yeast
20g Salt
100ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Approximately 450ml Water

Method

  • Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water
  • Mix flour and yeast. Then add 2/3rds of the water, followed by the olive oil.
  • Bring to a dough, then add salt.
  • Check the consistency and add water as necessary.
  • Knead on a table for around 10 minutes.
  • Form the dough into a ball, put in a container, wrap with cling film and leave at room temperature for several hours.
  • Divide into rolls, around 30-50g each, using plenty of flour
  • Place on tray and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Dust with more flour.
  • Bake in fan assisted oven for 20 minutes, or until golden.
