Milky White bread

Enjoy as rolls or small loaves

Ingredients

500g Strong Flour
15g Instant Yeast
15g Salt
10g Sugar
100g Butter, Melted
Approximately 400ml Milk

Method

  • Melt butter in a pan and set aside to cool slightly
  • Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water
  • Mix flour, sugar and yeast. Then add 2/3rds of the milk, followed by melted butter.
  • Bring to a dough, then add salt.
  • Check the consistency and add milk as necessary.
  • Knead on a table for around 10 minutes.
  • Form the dough into a ball, put in a container, wrap with cling film and leave at room temperature for several hours.
  • Divide into rolls, around 30-50g each.
  • Place on tray and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Brush with milk.
  • Bake in fan assisted oven for 20 minutes, or until golden.

 

Enjoy for dinner with a wholesome soup!
